ABOUT US
Hostage Aid Worldwide is a non-profit NGO established in September 2020.
Our organization was founded by a group of former hostages, families, and subject matter experts, united by shared experiences and a commitment to combating the inhumane act of hostage-taking. We work diligently to advocate for the release of hostages and unlawful detainees and to prevent such incidents globally, complementing the efforts of other organizations in this crucial field.
MISSION
Our mission is to assist hostages & unlawful detainees, support their families, provide insights on their cases, and strategize to disrupt the hostage business model and the threat of hostage diplomacy.
We coordinate with governments and UN bodies and raise awareness on the devastating cases and consequences of hostage-taking and unlawful detention. We combine global advocacy with empirical data driven methods and extensive research. Our focus is on foreign and dual national hostages and unlawful detainees held by state and non-state actors.Â
